Ryan Williams is a senior student here at UTPB in the Athletic Training Education Program, originally from Odessa. He serves as the president of the Sports Medicine Club on campus. Currently, he is working on his senior seminar at Midland College, and for the West Texas Drillers football team.

MyUTPB to Replace Campus Connect

Big changes are coming for students and how you access your information. By fall 2015, Campus Connect will be replaced with a new student portal, MyUTPB. This means fall class registration must be done through MyUTPB - not Campus Connect. Starting April 1st, anything regarding the fall 2015 semester and beyond will only be accessible through MyUTPB.

Shepperd Distinguished Lecture Series

UTPB’s John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Institute is hosting an upcoming lecture featuring 2014 Gubernatorial Democrat Nominee, Texas & Author Wendy Davis at the Wagner-Noël Performing Arts Center. The lecture is free and open to the public, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on April 21.

UTPB Joining the Lone Star Conference

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin will join the Lone Star Conference as a full member in the fall of 2016. The move was approved Thursday by the UT System Board of Regents.

"The success of UTPB student athletes both as athletes and students is the primary reason for joining the Lone Star Conference," said David Watts, UTPB president.
