Distinguished Alumni Awards

The Distinguished Alumni Awards is an annual tradition by the Falcon Alumni Network that represents the best of our alumni body. It recognizes outstanding alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally and through support of The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. The Distinguished Alumni Awards are granted in the fall during Homecoming.

Homecoming Week 2017: Oct. 9-14

Save the dates now for the UTPB Falcons Homecoming Week. Homecoming week will begin on October 9th and culminate at 6:00 pm on October 14th as the Falcons take on the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas at Ratliff Stadium.

College of Engineering Approved

The UT System Board of Regents approved the establishment of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin College of Engineering.

“The approval of College of Engineering is vital if UTPB is to reach its fullest potential in providing students with relevant and rewarding educational opportunities,” said Sandra Woodley, president of UTPB.

Freddy Wins Award

What happens when Freddy the Falcon swoops into cheer camp? He takes home an award for superior mascot, of course! It is no surprise to us that Freddy won. We can all agree that we love that bird, but who’s beneath the beak? The answer to that question is none other than Brittaney Ahrdent a sophomore here at UTPB, and she is the woman who brings our beloved Freddy to life.

Register Now For Fall

Registration is now open for Fall 2017 semesters! You can find a list of courses that are available in the course schedule.

Remember, students need to meet with their advisors at least once a semester to review their progress and plan for the subsequent semester.

Students needing an academic advisor should contact their dean's office.

Welcome to Fall 2017 - a fresh start!

We welcome all new students to the Falcon Family!  A variety of student events will be held in the coming days.  These events provide a chance to reconnect with friends and make many new friends.  One of these new friends is President Woodley who plans to participate in some of the events.  The student body is being challenged to get more students at each subsequent event.  Falcons XL!  Let's see which events get the best turnout!  WE ARE FALCONS!
