LSC Regular Season Champions

UT Permian Basin men’s basketball won the Lone Star Conference regular season championship in its first season as a member of the conference with a pair of wins over #15 Tarleton State and Texas A&M – Commerce. The Falcons enter this week’s Lone Star Conference Championship the #1 seed and open action at the Allen Event Center Thursday night against #8 Midwestern State at 8:30 p.m.

Dr. Jennifer Goff has served as Curator of Decorative Art and Modern Design at the National Museum of Ireland since 2007. She says, “I love working with people, teaching, lecturing, researching, publishing, and creating exhibitions which I hope the public enjoy.”

Software Donated to UTPB

Schlumberger, CGG GeoSoftware and Ikon Science have donated nearly $56 million in software to the Geology Program at UTPB.

"Our aim is to train students with modern geoscience tools on workstations," says Sumit Verma, assistant professor of Geophysics and head of the Geology Program. "Exposure to these types of tools in the classroom will make them ready to join leading oil companies.”

Lone Star Regular Season Champions

The UTPB Men's Basketball team closes the regular season 14-4 to sit atop the Lone Star Conference, riding a four-game win streak and are 13-1 in its last 14 games.

The Falcons head into next weekend's conference championships the top seed in the league, and open up action Thursday night at 8:30 against #8 Midwestern State. The Falcons and Mustangs split the series with each home team coming our victorious.
