Software Donated to UTPB

Schlumberger, CGG GeoSoftware and Ikon Science have donated nearly $56 million in software to the Geology Program at UTPB.

"Our aim is to train students with modern geoscience tools on workstations," says Sumit Verma, assistant professor of Geophysics and head of the Geology Program. "Exposure to these types of tools in the classroom will make them ready to join leading oil companies.”

Dr. Jennifer Goff has served as Curator of Decorative Art and Modern Design at the National Museum of Ireland since 2007. She says, “I love working with people, teaching, lecturing, researching, publishing, and creating exhibitions which I hope the public enjoy.”

Basketball Season

The Men's team is 22-5 and defeated Tarleton State on Thursday to move into 1st place in the Lone Star Conference. The men next play at home on Saturday, February 25th at 7:30pm vs Texas A&M - Commerce. The Women's team is 7-19 and also plays at home on Saturday vs Texas A&M - Commerce at 5:30pm. Come out and support your UTPB Falcons and admission to UTPB home games is free this season.
