James Francis Gill “Pop Art Paintings”

Texas native James Gill’s Pop Art paintings mix abstraction with photo-realistic portraits of some of Hollywood’s great including Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and the Beatles.

Study-Abroad at UTPB

Nancy Hart, associate professor of art at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is organizing a Study-Abroad course to Italy. The trip will encompass Rome, Vatican City, Sorrento, Naples, Pompeii, Regello, Cortona and Pienza. There will be a short course before students embark on their journey. Students will learn about the towns they will be visiting and when they are on location, tour guides will reinforce what they have learned.

The season for both the Men's and Women's Basketball teams are underway. The Women's team is currently 5-9 and next plays at home vs West Texas A&M on January 31st at 5:30pm. The Men's team (12-4) next plays at home on January 31st at 7:30pm vs Arlington Baptist at 7:30pm. Come out and support your UTPB Falcons and remember admission to UTPB home games are free this season.
