Software Donated to UTPB

Schlumberger, CGG GeoSoftware and Ikon Science have donated nearly $56 million in software to the Geology Program at UTPB.

"Our aim is to train students with modern geoscience tools on workstations," says Sumit Verma, assistant professor of Geophysics and head of the Geology Program. "Exposure to these types of tools in the classroom will make them ready to join leading oil companies.”

Basketball Season

Men's and Women's Basketball is underway. The Men's team is 21-5 and ranked 2nd in the Lone Star Conference. The men next play at home on February 23rd at 7:30pm vs Tarleton State. The Women's team is 7-18 and plays at home next vs Tarleton State on February 23rd at 5:30pm. Come out and support your UTPB Falcons and admission to UTPB home games is free this season.
