Finalist for UTPB President Named

The University of Texas System Board of Regents named Sandra K. Woodley, Ph.D., former president of the University of Louisiana System, as the sole finalist for the presidency of UTPB.

Woodley is no stranger to the UT System. From 2010 to 2013, she served as the System’s vice chancellor for strategic initiatives, where she led long-term strategic planning, policy research and accountability efforts.

Dr. Brescia Book Signing

The JBS Public Leadership Institute announces a book signing at UTPB on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 6:00 PM. The signing and comments will be at UTPB’s Library in LLC 142. Refreshments will be provided.

Engineering Building Breaks Ground

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin held a ground breaking ceremony for the new engineering building on Friday, March 24th at 11:00 am. The three-story building will house Mechanical, Petroleum and Aerospace Engineering programs, as well as research labs for faculty and graduate research. Construction is expected to begin in late April and is projected to conclude in April, 2019.

LivingWell Spring into motion

Spring into Motion Challenge

Spring into Motion is a 4-week physical activity challenge designed to make physical activity a priority. All UT System employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents age 18 and above who are covered by the UT SELECT Medical Plan are eligible to participate. Participants aim for 6,000-10,000 steps or 30-60 minutes a day. Registration is going on now through April 10th and the challenge officially starts on April 3rd.
