Calendar for Trip to Spain

Costs for the trip to Spain have been locked in at the prices listed due to ten deposits already having been collected! Students and friends of UTPB are encouraged to join us on this exciting venture. Consult the schedule for the dates at which payments must be made in order to ensure participation. The trip is limited to 40 people so get on the band-wagon! There will be a meeting in early September for anyone considering joining us and those who have already decided!

75% of total price must be paid to the UTPB Accounting Office by November 1st- the first day to register for Spring Term, 2008

Final payment must be made to the UTPB Accounting Office by January 30th- the final day to register for Spring, Maymester, and Summer Terms, 2008

Each person going on the trip MUST have a passport that is good for six months beyond the trip (that is, it cannot expire before Dec. 1, 2008).

Each person going on the trip MUST have proof of health insurance by May 1, 2008.

Each person going on the trip MUST either take the class for credit or audit. The audit fee is $35.00/per credit hour and since this is a six-hour course, it will amount to $210. This MUST be paid according to the schedule for Maymester Courses. Failure to enroll will result in the person being unable to go on the trip. Registration for the course and for the audit is through the UTPB Registrar's Office with payment due to the Accounting Office.

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

• Round trip airfare with a major carrier on scheduled flights and guaranteed dates
• Airport taxes/fuel surcharges (currently $325.00 but subject to change until ticketed 60 days prior to departure)
• Accommodation in 3 Star and Superior 2 Star tourist class hotels with private facilities guaranteed throughout
• Continental breakfast throughout your touring program and diner on arrival night in Madrid and final night in Barcelona
• A Casterbridge Tour Manager/Guide to accompany your group 24 hours a day from arrival to departure
• All excursions, cultural activities and (several pre-booked) admissions as per your itinerary
• The expertise and perspective of 7 local guides during your tour
• Transportation by private coach for airport transfers and touring, except in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona where public transport is used (and the cost included) for group sightseeing
• Free places in twin rooms for group leaders (as per number of full paying participants stated above)
• All Taxes

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Lunches or personal beverages with meals and dinners on 8 evenings by your own arrangements
• Visas (if required)
• Single room supplement if required at $35 per hotel night (a total of $350 on this tour)
• Tips and gratuities for the guide and driver
• Travel insurance - Casterbridge offers a comprehensive Travel Insurance Policy to all participants. This Policy includes Health, Cancellation and Property coverage and costs $99 for those 30 years or below on tours of 11 or more days and $129 for those aged 31 years or above. This travel insurance is gratis for all free group leaders. Each passenger must be covered by a Health Insurance policy whilst on a Casterbridge tour.
  
  
  

Please note that Casterbridge can no longer absorb any changes in the airport tax/fuel surcharge element between time of final payment and time of ticketing and that this amount is therefore subject to change until around 60 days before departure. The attached Information and Enrollment Guide does not currently reflect the above but the conditions on the Master Group Booking Form, on which the tour will be booked, has been modified and this revised position will therefore apply for your proposed tour.

(a) All airport taxes are included and there are no registration fees, optional excursions or adult supplements to be added. Rooming will be two to a room (with an occasional triple).

(b) This proposal is valid until 28 October 2007 or until 90 days ( 02 March 2008 ) before departure (whichever comes first) and this tour cannot be operated in its present format with fewer than 10 full paying participants.
