The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is committed to providing a web site which is accessible to all users. UTPB’s primary accessibility standard is Section 508 of the amended Rehabilitation Act of 1973 for which all pages containing official university information must comply with section 508 requirements. Section 508 represents the minimum standard for UTPB’s web pages and developers are encouraged to go beyond this including but not limited to meeting Priority Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). UTPB is required by Texas Administrative Code: Title 1, Part 10, Chapter 206, Subchapter C, Rule §206.71 effective September 1, 2006 to provide Texas Web accessibility standards/specifications on all new or redesigned web pages and content.
