George Jacob George Jacob is the Executive Director of the Ellen Noel Art Museum of the Permian Basin. Trained at the Smithsonian as an intern, educated at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science formerly under the MIT-Ford Foundation collaboration, University of Toronto and Yale School of Management, he is known internationally for spearheading stellar museum planning and design-build assignments and is one of the leading museum thinkers of our times. A Commonwealth Scholar, his $380 million design-build portfolio can be seen in 11 countries including Dubai, Singapore, India, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Egypt and across United States. Founding Director of 3 museums in his career, his museology discourses and Op-Eds address urban development, creating cultural capital and civil societies. He is credited with developing and teaching the first ever Masters Studio in Museum Design at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba. He is the author of the seminal books Museum Design: The Future and its sequel Exhibit Design: The Future, and currently serves on the Peer Review Committee of the American Alliance for Museums.
