Burhan Altinbilek, MA
Mr. Altinbilek began his teaching career in 2008. He is currently working at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin as a Turkish Language Instructor. He has been living in the US for almost five years. He has been working as a foreign language instructor in Kansas City, MO for two years and in Texas for two years. He graduated from Gazi University in Turkiye with a BS degree in Turkish Education. After coming to the US, he continued his education as a graduate student at the University of Missouri, Kansas City at the Curriculum and Instructional Leadership Department. He then transferred to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, School of Education where he received his Master 's degree from UTPB. During his Master's program he got a full scholarship from Indiana University Startalk program Summer-2012, and Stanford University- Startalk Program Summer- 2013. He presented a seminar about ‘How to teach Turkish Language to Americans” in Houston, Texas to the Turkish Language teachers (102). He also presented a conference about” How to use QR codes in Education” in Midland Reading Conference, 2013. As his master project he created a smart phone application which is about teaching Turkish for foreign learners. He also got acceptance from Ph.D. Political Science and international Relationship Program from Texas Tech for fall 2014.
