UTPB Dual Credit courses are $150 for each 3 hour course. English 1301 and English 1302 courses are $200 each.

Texas Success Initiative (TSI) information:

School districts and students interested in taking the TSI Assessment/Accuplacer with UTPB may contact Karla Olivas at 432-552-2555 or 432-552-2557 or by email at olivas_k@utpb.edu. School districts have the option of becoming proctors for their school district and must be given credentials by UTPB. These districts must also contact Karla Olivas. The TSI exam will be given at no charge to the students who will be enrolled in UTPB Dual Credit courses. UTPB honors the TSI testing requirement for relevant subjects only. For example, a student taking history will only have to pass reading and writing, while a student taking math only has to pass the math TSI.

Textbooks are required for UTPB Dual Credit courses:

Students are responsible for obtaining their own textbooks. Since some schools provide textbooks for their students, you should check with your high school counselor to determine the policy for the individual school. All required textbooks are available from the UTPB bookstore located on the UTPB campus, at 432-552-0220 or http://www.bkstr.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=10632&demoKey=d or digital books at www.CafeScribe.com .
