DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TESTS YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE IN ORDER TO BEGIN YOUR EDUCATION AT A UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE?

The Texas Legislature has instituted the Texas Success Initiative (TSI), a program that is designed to improve student success rates in Texas colleges and universities.

Incoming Texas college students are required to take the TSI Assessment (unless they are exempt; see below) – to determine their readiness for college-level work.

To find out if you are TSI EXEMPT or if you have to take the mandatory TSI Assessment, please continue to read the information provided below.

If you have questions, please ask an advisor and/or a counselor; go to www.thecb.state.tx.us/DE/TSI  (See #1 and click on TSI/Exemptions) www.collegeboard.org or pass@utpb.edu for more information.
