Dear Visitor,

Welcome to Chemistry on the Web and thank you for your interest in our chemistry program.

ChemWeb is intended for prospective students and others interested in chemistry activities at the Permian Basin component of the University of Texas located in Odessa. Here you will find links to information about our academic programs, course offerings, faculty, staff, facilities, research activities and other chemistry related information. Our objective is to deliver, via the internet, a virtual "open door" tour of the chemistry program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

The education and training of twenty-first century scientists demands the best faculty and facilities. With this in mind, we continuously endeavor to expand our capabilities so that we may deliver the highest quality education to our students. Our commitment to online education will grow from the University's solid base with a direct high speed fiber optic connection to the internet backbone.

We have a strong commitment to student oriented hands-on education. With smaller class sizes and personal attention to each student, we deliver the individualized instruction that allows each student to gain the maximum benefit possible from their educational experience.

Please browse through the information presented. If you are interested in our programs or have need for additional information, please contact us.

Sincerely yours,

J. Michael Robinson, Ph.D.
Ellen & Bill Noël Distinguished Professor for Energy Research
