SCASB offers two opportunities to gain experience presenting your research.

Poster Presentations

Students and faculty are invited to submit abstracts of their original research to be presented as posters at the annual meeting. Undergraduate, master's, and doctoral level research projects will be judged for the "Best Abstract Award".

The deadline for abstract submission is February 15, 2008. Please use the same electronic submission guidelines that are required for the national ASB meetings. These are listed in the Abstract Template and Submission Guidelines. To submit your abstract(s), please visit the Abstract Submission webpage. If there are problems submitting your abstract, please contact the program chair, Douglas Powell, at powell_d@utpb.edu .

All abstracts that meet the standards of acceptability will be included in the presentation schedule for the conference. You may submit the same abstract for SCASB and National ASB. This is an excellent chance to practice your presentation and receive constructive feedback through interaction with SCASB members.

Podium Presentations

Students and faculty are invited to submit abstracts of their original research to be presented as a slide (Powerpoint) presentation at the annual meeting. Up to four manuscripts will be accepted for a 10-minute presentation. Students' podium submissions that are not selected for a podium presentation will be placed in the poster section. All abstracts should be PDF documents and submitted electronically using the Abstract Submission webpage.
