UTPB’s undergraduate program in criminology, which leads to a B. A. degree, is primarily intended for three student groups: Those who aspire to a criminal justice career, those who are currently employed in the criminal justice system, and those who are considering graduate studies. Our 33-hour degree plan features required coursework in criminological theory, statistics, and research methods as well as a diverse list of electives, including a semester-long criminal justice internship. Beginning in 2002, UTPB also offers an on-line completion degree in Criminal Justice, in conjunction with two other University of Texas campuses. Our program offers small classes and individualized academic and practical experience.
