Post-Baccalaureate Accelerated Teacher Certification
If you have your bachelor’s degree and a passion for teaching, the UTPB Fast Track is a fast, affordable, and convenient pathway to become a certified teacher. Individuals in the Fast Track program are able to keep their current employment while completing the preparation to obtain a probationary certification as a Texas teacher. The online curriculum consists of 15 credit hours of coursework and a one-year fully paid internship as a classroom teacher. A 14-week unpaid clinical teaching option is also available as an alternative to the paid internship.

Apply Certification Coursework Toward a Masters Degree
Graduate hours in the teacher certification program may be applied toward a Master of Arts degree in Reading, Professional Education, Bilingual Education, or Special Education, depending on the area of certification. This means nearly half of the master’s requirements can be completed during certification, significantly reducing the time and cost of obtaining an advanced degree.
