The College of Business and Engineering Student Advisory Council will contribute to the development and continuous updating of the School’s strategic plan, curricula, faculty, and students.
Members of the School Student Advisory Council will be School majors/minors or individuals pursuing six or more semester hours in Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing. Appointment is by invitation from the Dean of the College of Business and Engineering.
Formal meetings of the Student Advisory Council will be held on the campus of The University of Texas of the Permian Basin approximately once per semester. Each meeting will be held twice, once during the day and once during the evening to allow more Council members the opportunity to participate. Interaction between Council members and the Dean is strongly encouraged between meetings.
No term for membership is specified, but the School reserves the right to add and delete members as necessary to keep the Council fresh and productive. In general, a member will be invited to remain on the Council so long as he or she:
- contributes positively to the purpose of the Council,
- attends meetings with a reasonable degree of regularity,
- desires to remain a member,
- is a student at UT Permian Basin.
There are no dues associated with membership. Membership on the Council should be regarded as an honor.
