A recent Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board report shows UT Permian Basin is the top Texas public university for graduates who get jobs in Texas or go on to Texas graduate schools within a year of graduating.

For the third consecutive year, The University of Texas of the Permian Basin has received at least $1 million from U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison to build the next generation of nuclear reactor. This year’s grant was for $1.2 million.

Known at UTPB as the HT3R Project, the High-Temperature Teaching and Test Reactor (HT3R) Energy Research Facility will be built near Andrews, TX, in a joint venture with Andrews, Ector, and Midland counties.
