The University of Texas of the Permian Basin
European Art & Architecture

This was the seventh year that art historian (and Fulbright Scholar) Dr. Marianne Woods has led a trip of UTPB students abroad. In the past, she has taken groups to Italy, France, Spain, Greece, and New York City. This summer, the group visited Prague, Vienna, the medieval city of Cesky Krumlov, Schonbrunn Palace, and a variety of other historical sites including the Church of St. Thomas, the Jewish Quarter, and the Old-New Synagogue. Members of the group took her Maymester course (Arts 3601-Diverse Study) before the trip.

Move In Day

Move In Day is always a circus, so RA Dean Chadic got in the spirit. The senior communication major from Monahans registered Cene Padilla, a sophomore business management major from El Paso. RA Callie Carroll, right, a junior English major from Alpine, also helped get students into their apartment-style homes. Hamburgers were served by Baptist Student Ministries as a welcome relief from moving stress.
