New Leisure Reading Area

In response to student suggestions, a new leisure reading area has been set up immediately behind the bank of student access workstations. This area consists of a selection of books and periodicals. Books for leisure reading are mostly mystery, science fiction, and fantasy. In addition, there is a selection of some of the library's newspapers and magazines and some journals of opinion & commentary. Cell Phone Usage; Chat Area

Like a classroom a library is a place for concentration and consideration for other's need to learn and assimilate knowledge. In Dunagan Library, the designated area for cell phone use and casual chatting is the "commons" or "atrium entrance" to the building. Last fall, the Library added new more comfortable seating to this area to make it a more attractive and useful space.
