• Permian Basin Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
  A chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers with a membership of over 1400 . Monthly luncheon meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday of the month at 11:30 at the Midland Petroleum Club.  SPE-PB also has six study groups that meet regularly: Business, Computer Users, Drilling, Reservoir, Environmental, and Production Operations.

• Midland Chapter of the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists (SIPES)
  One of the largest local chapters of SIPES includes geologists, geophysicists, and engineers among its members.  Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday at 11:30 at the Midland country club.

• Financing Exploration and Production Association (FEPA)
  An organization of independent operators in the Permian Basin with a membership of about 110. Monthly meetings are normally held on the second Thursday at 7:30 AM at the Midland Country Club.
  
• West Texas Geological Society (WTGS)
  An affiliated society of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists with a membership of about 1200. Monthly meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday at 11:30 at the Midland center.  (915) 683-1573

• Permian Basin Landmans Association
