Prague to Vienna: Music and Art Appreciation

Step back in time with UTPB’s art historian, Dr. Marianne Woods, as she leads a course during Maymester, May 10-27, with an overseas element: “Prague to Vienna: Music and Art Appreciation,” May 29-June 7.

In Prague, you’ll retrace the route of the coronation processions for the Bohemian kings and queens, visit beer halls featuring beer brewed by monks, marvel at Art Nouveau architecture and Troja Palace with its formal French gardens. A tour of the medieval city, Cesky Kremlov, will be followed by three nights in Vienna. Walking tours will include the old part of the city, Schönbrunn Palace, Haus Der Musik where music can be seen and felt as well as heard, and Stadtpark where monuments to famous composers stand.

Round-trip airfare, airport charges, accommodations in 3-star facilities, excursions, continental breakfasts plus 2 dinners, and fulltime tour guides are all included in the cost of the trip. For more information, contact Dr. Woods at woods_m@utpb.edu.
