Web Courses
A web course is taught exclusively
over the World Wide Web (IInternet) with little
or no face-to-face contact with the instructor and classmates.
Online students may live several hundred or even thousands
of miles from the campus, or they may live on campus.
Assignments and homework are accessed and submitted
through a web site using e-mail or other file transfer
software.
Web-enhanced Courses
Web-enhanced courses are traditional
classroom courses whose content is supplemented by a
Web site designed by and for the instructor where the
instructor places additional information, assignments
and special links for students in his or her class to
access at specific times. The Web enhancements
are designed for the sole use of students who are local
and enrolled in a traditional classroom course offering
Web enhancement. Not all classroom courses have
web enhancements.
Interactive Video Courses
This course meets in a classroom
equipped with cameras, microphones, speakers, and television
monitors. The course is taught through two-way video,
two-way audio conferencing with schools in the surrounding
area. Class times and locations are posted on the REACH
Homepage under the Course Catalog menu on the left-hand
side. |
