Always take a look at this guide when considering looking for funding opportunities: Red Flags - Triggers for Export Control Review. If in doubt check the other information in respect of export controls or call the Grant Services Manager.
Each week (well almost each week), the Grant Services Manager emails a selection of recently announced funding opportunities and other information from traditional sponsoring agencies. These are forwarded to staff and faculty within about twenty affinity groups. It is not feasible to send out individual notices, but if you get the email there may be something of interest to you or your department. It's worth spending the five minutes or so it will take to check the contents of this advice.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to place themselves on automatic mailing lists with sponsoring agencies that fit in with their respective fields of interest.
All UT institutions now subscribe to the PIVOT program that allows faculty and staff to register their specialties and interests in a central database. This system can be utilized to search for funding opportunities and for alerts on grants that may be of interest. Here is their website: http://pivot.cos.com . On this site you will find opportunities to register and to get more information about what this comprehensive program can do for you and UTPB. Here is a link that should take you to a useful overview: Pivot Funding Quick Start Guide.
