Bio:
Wei He is an assistant professor of finance at The University
of Texas of the Permian Basin and teaches principles of finance,
financial markets and institutions, international finance,
and financial statement analysis. Prior to joining the School
of Business at UT Permian Basin, she taught corporate finance
and investments courses both at University of New Orleans
and the Assumption University of Thailand.
Professor He’s research interests are in empirical finance.
Her current research focuses primarily on the corporate restructuring
choices between tracking stocks and equity carve-outs incorporating
the corporate governance factors, and the investment and financing
decisions of the U.S. energy industry, as well as the evidence
of overreactions in the options markets.
