Q1. When is my tuition bill due?
Tuition is payable at the time of registration in most cases. However, if you are preregistering for courses for the next semester, the due date for payment of your tuition will be printed on your statement.
Q2. How can I pay my tuition for the semester?
The University has several options for payment of tuition and fees. You can pay by cash, check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover) in the Office of Accounting or you can log onto your my.utpb.edu account and pay by credit card under pay bill or apply for a payment plan under apply for FACTS payment.
Q3. When will my financial aid be applied to my tuition and fee bill?
The Office of Student Financial Aid will apply certain types of your financial aid package directly to your student account (PELL grants, certain scholarships, certain state grants and scholarships, some third party billings (agencies).) Other types of aid cannot be applied and you must check with the Office of Student Financial Aid to get these types of aid applied to your account.
Q4. How much do I owe for tuition and fees?
Tuition and fee rates are established by the State of Texas and the University of Texas System Regents. A schedule of these tuition and fees can be found under the cost of college section on the Office of Accounting web page.
Q5. How do I get a transcript?
Transcript Online Ordering Service through National Clearinghouse: www.getmytranscript.com
Select UT Permian Basin and follow the instructions. Please remember, students cannot receive transcripts or grade reports if their records have been placed on hold for any reason. Students can check their status by calling the Office of Accounting (432-552-2706) or the Office of the Registrar (432-552-2635).
Transcripts can be ordered in the Office of the Registrar but due to limited computers in the lobby, students are encouraged to order their transcripts from home.
Q7. When will refund checks be issued?
Refund checks are generally processed after all add/drop activity has been processed to each student's account. This generally occurs after the 12th class day. A student can see if they are due a refund on their my.utpb.edu account. It takes 7-10 business days from the time that refund shows on the account for the check to be processed and mailed to the address on the student's account.
