The University of Texas of the Permian Basin invites applications for the positions of Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing, tenure or non-tenure track; Master’s prepared nurses for clinical and classroom instructors. We are seeking individuals who are highly innovative to participate in teaching in a new Bachelor of Science Degree Nursing Program in a comprehensive four-year university located in Odessa/Midland, a metropolitan area with a population of approximately 300,000. The Nursing program is also developing an RN-to-BSN program to open soon with face-to-face and online formats. Requirements include a doctorate in nursing or related field for Assistant or Associate Professor tenure or non-tenure tracks and Master’s degree for clinical and classroom teaching. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate students in classroom and clinical facilities. Teaching experience in medical-surgical, mental health, community/public health, pediatric, obstetric, leadership/management and/or research and informatics nursing is preferred.
