What
is Physical Education?
1.
What is Kinesiology?
Ans:
Simply stated, Kinesiology is the study of movement. Primarily
it is the study of human movement. As a discipline,
Kinesiology is quite interdisciplinary in nature as
Kinesiologists study movement from a variety of perspectives.
They use the tools of physiology, physics, psychology,
sociology, history, philosophy, and other academic disciplines
to understand, describe, predict, and allow the control of
human movement. For the most part the movement of interest is
found in sport and exercise programs, but it may extend to
other movement contexts.

2.What
is Physical Education?
Ans:Since
we now use the term "Kinesiology" to refer to the
academic discipline, we reserve the term "Physical
Education" for the profession. Physical educators teach
sports, dance, aquatics, adventure activities, fitness
activities, and other forms of movement to students in
elementary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
The courses they teach comprise the physical education
curriculum.
