Mission Statement for the Academic Advising Office

College of Arts and Sciences

The mission of the Academic Advising Office is to provide quality professional academic advising to all College of Arts and Sciences students at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous atmosphere.  In addition, the office is responsible for the advising of all students who have not yet declared a major.  Furthermore, the office helps students define their initial educational objectives and assists them in planning their academic calendar to achieve their goals within the guidelines of The University’s rules and regulations.
