Welcome to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Police Department's homepage.  Whether you are a student, faculty, staff or guest to the University, we strive to make your stay on campus safe and pleasant.  Utilizing our homepage to gather information prior to arriving on campus or to keep updated on our current activities is just one way we make our services available to you.  On our main page are links to resources for Students, Faculty and Staff, and Visitors to our campus.

    The University Police Department is comprised of commissioned and non-commissioned personnel. The commissioned personnel are Peace Officers and are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Our non-commissioned officers are Guards working to enhance the services we provide by assisting in calls for service; traffic and parking control, building checks and special events. The Department employs other professionals in our Information Center and as administrative support staff.

    The Department provides police services on campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our commissioned officers are empowered to investigate all calls for service, criminal and non-criminal on campus.  We also have a tight working relationship with all local law enforcement agencies.
