Director's Profile

Tony K. Love is the Director of Career Services at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. He has dual bachelors degrees in Accounting and Mass Communications from UTPB and a Master's degree in Counseling from Sul Ross State University. Mr. Love is one of the few Career Center Directors in Texas to hold vocational counseling certification with the Texas Education Agency.

Mr. Love is a frequent speaker to student groups and conducts workshops on resume writing, interviewing, career options, career exploration and job search strategies. He has over twelve years business experience in the private sector and over thirteen years experience in public schools and universities. He annually hosts the "UTPB Mini-Career Camp" during the summer for area high school students and writes a column in the campus newspaper, the Mesa Journal, entitled "Career Corner".

His community services include the board of directors of LINKS-Odessa, Permian Basin Society of Human Resources Professionals and Leadership Odessa. Nationally, he is a contributing member to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
