Student Organizations
Student organizations create opportunities for
students to get to know their classmates and faculty outside
of the classroom. We currently have about 30 active student
clubs and a few more that are active some semesters.
New student organizations may be established by coming to
our office and filling out the necessary forms to be
recognized.
All student organizations must register with
the Office of Student Life in order to become officially
recognized by The University. We also assist Physical Plant schedule rooms for student
organizations and provide advice and information to ensure
compliance with University and System regulations (Regents’
Rules). Programming and leadership issues also may be discussed
with the Office of Student Life. The Student Organization
Guide contains more extensive information regarding procedures.
The Office of Student Life and the
Student Program Board provide a "Club Leadership
Workshop" at the beginning of each regular
semester. Many U.T. Permian Basin faculty speak on parliamentary
procedures, group dynamics, event planning, traits of good
leaders, and other helpful topics for student leaders. A
review of the Student Organizations Guide is also provided.
Inquiries about any of the student organizations may
be sent to :
