UTPB/NCAA DRUG TESTING

Drug testing will be conducted upon our athletes periodically as a requirement of NCAA membership and your ability to participate in the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Athletic program.

A drug testing consent form will be presented to you upon your arrival to school in the fall or upon your initial participation in our program. You must consent to testing in order to participate.

You are encouraged to read through the information on the program. A copy of the publication will be available in the Athletic Department Office should you desire to see a hard copy. A list of banned substances follows.

If you are using any of them, you should stop immediately or you may have a positive test upon your arrival to campus. This would jeopardize your eligibility to participate. The drug testing program has been implemented to assure equitable competition and to protect the health and safety of all of our student-athletes.

You should be aware that commonly used street drugs appear on the list.
