Four-Year College Transfer Contact Limitations
If you are enrolled in a four-year school, we must receive permission from your athletic director or compliance officer before we can speak with you on the phone or provide any specific information about a sports team. Please ask your Athletic Director of Compliance Officer to send a permission to contact form to us.

Before we could allow you to play we have to receive a release from your Athletic Director or Compliance Officer.

Junior College Transfer Contact Limitations
If you attend a junior college, we can speak to you about UTPB at any time.

Campus Visitations
Unofficial Visits are visits you make to UTPB at your own expense. You may make an unlimited number of visits to UTPB to visit at your own expense. Please be sure that you contact the coach before coming.

You are allowed only FIVE Official Visits as a high school senior. After your senior year in high school (once you have enrolled full time in college) you are permitted five additional official visits. Before coming on an official visit you must have all of your college transcripts on file with the athletic office.

General Tryout Information
Some of our coaches have open tryouts and others do not. If a tryout is held, it may last only 2 hours. Please contact the coach of your sport to see if and when a tryout is being held. The contact information for your coaches may be found in the Athletic Staff Directory.

UTPB Admissions Application
Here is a link to an on-line admissions form (Texas Common Application). You would need to complete and submit it and send in an official copy of your high school transcript to complete the application process. UTPB's institution number is: 009930

https://www.applytexas.org/adappc/commonapp.WBX

The common application is used for all Texas Public colleges and you may use it to apply to any of them. If you have any interest in UTPB, please complete the application and submit it early. It takes 10-15 minutes and does not cost anything.

Housing
Here is a link to our campus housing information. Our campus housing is much like apartment-style housing. Generally students have their own room and units include living areas and full kitchens with microwaves, stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers.

Rent includes all utilities, basic cable and high speed internet service.

Financial Aid Information
We have a LIMITED number of athletic scholarships and as a general rule our scholarships are broken up and shared with several players on a team. Athletic Scholarships cannot be combined with academic awards.

Academic awards for transfer students are very limited.

If you receive an athletic or academic scholarship you are required to live on campus unless you are from the Midland-Odessa area and living with family or qualify for an exception.

If you receive an academic or athletic award for $2000 or more, out of state tuition is waived. As a general rule, out of state tuition is not waived during the summer.

Additional information about financial aid is available here:
