The two official publications of the student body are The Mesa Journal which is the
student newspaper and The Sandstorm, the student literary publication. The
student publications policy applies to all student publications.
Unofficial or anonymous publications are
not allowed (Regents Rules part one, chapter VI, section 10) but students
may apply to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Student Senate
to begin a new publication. New Publications approved by the Student
Senate and the president of the University may also apply for funding to
the Student Fees Advisory Committee.
