The Multicultural Studies Minor provides students with insight
into various cultures and the interaction of differing cultures
in a single society. Particular focus is given to groups that
have been traditionally underrepresented in the study of the
history, politics, economics, literature and arts of the Southwestern
United States. Further, focus is given to issues of people
and countries as part of a global socioeconomic and political
structure. The insights gained through this minor will be
useful to those working with underrepresented populations
in the U. S. and internationally, as well as, those who simply
seek a fuller understanding of societies globally.
