Post Baccalaureate Certification

Individuals holding a bachelor's degree and desiring to become certified to teach may be eligible to enroll in a post baccalaureate (post bac) education program as nondegree special students and limit their study only to required courses.

Post baccalaureate programs are available in elementary, middle school, secondary, and all level certification through under graduate course offerings. In addition, special programs for elementary certification of secondary certification through graduate coursework are available. See the chair of Teacher Education for this program.

The State Board of Educator Certification requires college credit of competency in educational computing and technology and speech prior to certification. All other requirements cited above apply equally to post bac certification.
