Nursing is a challenging, yet highly rewarding career. A nurse will often say they knew in their heart that nursing was their calling. This is understandable as nursing is definitely a profession that consistently touches your heart and soul. Most of all, those who choose nursing would say that it is the best career they could have chosen.

The nursing profession is in high demand and will continue to be so for decades to come. Even before the recent COVID situation, the profession was slated for faster than average growth with a seven percent increase over ten years*. Just within hospital nursing, there are a multitude of choices including Medical/Surgical (Med Surg), Intensive Care (ICU), Cardiac Care, Labor and Delivery (L&D), Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Oncology, Radiology, Nursing Education, Nursing Management, just to name a few.
