Minor in Economics

The Minor in Economics provides a flexible, global point of view that augments knowledge and skill in government, politics, business, and nonprofit sectors. You will become adept in the principles of micro and macroeconomics and will expand your critical thinking and quantitative analysis to help solve the most pressing issues in the business world. Whether you plan to pursue a career in finance, public policy, law, or business, the minor will complement your primary course of study with added tools and perspectives.

Economics Minor Requirements

  • Students must complete 18 semester credit hours to earn a minor in Economics.
  • Students are required to complete the following courses: 
    • ECON 2301 Principles of Macroeconomics
    • ECON 2302 Principles of Microeconomics
    • ECON 3303
    • ECON 4323
    • and two upper-level Economics electives.
