Online Master's Degree in Educational Leadership

Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Leadership Online

The Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Leadership is designed to prepare students for leadership positions in the PK-12 school setting. While in this program, students may become eligible to earn their principal certification and/or superintendent certification, often required for school administration positions.

Degree candidates receive training in instructional and administrative leadership, cultural proficiency, public relations, human resource management, school law and ethics, fiscal responsibility and organizational theory.

The goal is to prepare school leaders who affect positive change by coaching teachers toward improving educational processes in elementary and secondary organizations. This transcends simple management functions, and encompasses the hiring of teachers and staff, preparing and overseeing budgets, setting curriculum standards, and setting school-wide policies and procedures.
