Non-Discrimination Policy

It is the policy of the UTPB STEM Academy not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

It is the policy of the UTPB STEM Academy to support districts as they provide a free, appropriate education to all students consisting of regular and special education and related aides and services in career and technology education programs that are designed to meet individual educational needs of disabled persons as adequately as the needs of non-disabled persons are met and are based upon adherence to provisions set forth in 34 CFR 104.33-104.36; 34 CFR 104.31-104.40; (see also standards under V-C, V-D, V-E, V-F, V-G, and V-H).

It is the policy of the UTPB STEM Academy not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, nation origin, sex, handicap, or age in its employment practices as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

The UTPB STEM Academy will take steps to assure that lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all education and vocational programs. For information about your rights or grievance procedures, contact the school Superintendent.
