Members of Students in Philanthropy (SIP) at the University of Texas Permian Basin hosted a ceremony Tuesday, April 17th to award almost $16,000 to local nonprofit organizations. Over the course of the year, 19 student leaders worked tirelessly to raise money to support worthy organizations. This year they sold t-shirt sponsorships, hosted a car wash, and partnered with a Midland bakery to sell sweet bread. Representatives from 11 agencies were in attendance to accept their gifts from UT Permian Basin SIP.
Students in Philanthropy members apply to be part of the organization which encourages a connection to the community and supports a desire to help others through charitable giving. Please join us for this event.
