    Moderators: Tony Love, UTPB Career Center & Jose Antonio Moreno, UTPB Spanish faculty.  Have you ever thought about the possibility of studying abroad for a semester?  Many students do not realize that opportunities exist to study abroad and articulate credit within their current degree plan.  This presentation will discuss the many issues involved in making the decision to study abroad and also share financial aid and scholarship opportunities available. Upcoming faculty led and exchange programs will be discussed along with traditional semester abroad programs. A free lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m.

  • Guest Author Presentation - Shelton Williams

    The event will include a reading, Q&A session, and book signing. Shelton lives and works in Washington D.C., where he is President of the Osgood Center for International Studies. Shelton was affected by the cold-blooded murder of cousin Betty Williams in 1961. This tragic event was popularly known as the “Kiss and Kill Murder.” He devoted years of study to the facts of his cousin’s killing and the court trial of her alleged murderer, writing a true crime book about the affair entitled Washed in the Blood. Since its publication, actress Moira Kelly has shown interest in developing the novel into a screenplay.
