Fall Graduates Walk

UTPB will hold Fall Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, December 16, 2017. 464 graduates will receive their diplomas in two ceremonies held at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center, 1310 N. FM1788, Midland, Texas 79707. All parking areas will be available for open parking. Carpooling and early arrival are recommended. Following each commencement, a reception will be held in the Lobby. Ceremonies will be streamed for those unable to attend.

UT System Board of Regents Invests $9 million in UTPB

The UT System Board of Regents approved the allocation of $9 million dollars over the next three years to UTPB. Following a detailed analysis of operations and management President Sandra Woodley identified significant institutional challenges and very exciting future potential. She developed a plan to make forward thinking investments that will position UTPB for the future.

Student Password Reset

Students: Due to a recent increase in account compromises, all student passwords will be reset on Tuesday, December 19. Students will need to visit the FalconID page to change their password after the December 19th reset to regain access to their email and accounts.

Boothe Brings Tenacity, Defense to UTPB Women’s Basketball

Hard work and teamwork are the two most important pillars of new UTPB women’s basketball coach Rae Boothe’s coaching beliefs, and are something the first-year Falcon is working hard to implement in the first month of games this season. “I’ve always loved the game of basketball, but I also love what it does for people in the sense of teams,” Boothe noted.

Register Now For Spring & Summer

Registration is now open for the Spring and Summer 2018 semester! You can find a list of courses that are available in the course schedule.

Remember, students need to meet with their advisors at least once a semester to review their progress and plan for the subsequent semester.  Students needing an academic advisor should contact their dean's office.

UTPB’s Investment in Engineering is a Game Changer

Expansion continues for the College of Engineering at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, with the addition of two more degrees. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has given approval to UTPB to offer Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemical and Electrical Engineering.
