Frequently Asked Questions:

Where should I park?
Parking permits are required to park on all campuses, including UTPB Main, CEED, and the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center. The parking spaces in all lots are available for parking unless Reserved. All underground parking is reserved and assigned through the President's Office. Only Student Housing residents can park at Student Housing.

If I purchased a parking permit last semester, do I need to purchase another one this semester?
No. Parking permits are purchased during registration and are valid from August 15th to the following year to August 15th. The permits are marked with an expiration sticker. Permits can be obtained at the Police Department Lobby (Rm1240) located in the Mesa Building, Devonian Area where Accounting, Admissions, Financial Aid and the Registrar's Offices are located. Permits are available throughout the school year and are pro-rated as necessary.

If I drive a vehicle on campus and I do not have my permit with me what should I do?
Stop by the Police Department Lobby. Provide them with your vehicle description, license plate information, and Student ID number.

What should I do if my permit is lost or stolen?
Report the loss of your permit at the Police Department. You may purchase a replacement permit for $7.00.

Where can I pay a University traffic violation?
Payments can be made at the Accounting Office located in the Mesa Building and Devonian Building. The Police Department cannot accept payments. When a vehicle is issued a University parking citation, the person whom the permit is issued to is responsible for any citation issued.
