Dance
Step into the spotlight and dance to the rhythm of excellence! The University of Texas Permian Basin Dance Team is a newly founded program with lots of potential and support. UTPB Dance appears at football, volleyball, and basketball games as well as many campus and community events. For the first time in UTPB’s Dance Program History, they will be competing at the NDA Collegiate National Championship in Daytona Beach, Fl this year.
Tryouts 2024 - 2025
Tryout dates for the 2024-2025 UTPB Dance Team will be announced soon. For a list of required skills and to ensure you don’t miss the announcement, please email Terry Lynn Lane, Spirit Coordinator, at lane_t@utpb.edu to express your interest in trying out. Virtual tryouts are an option.
Program Requirements
- Incoming freshman must have already applied to UTPB
- Good Academic Standing (minimum 2.5 GPA)
- Undergraduates must be enrolled in at least twelve (12) semester hours
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least nine (9) semester hours
- Must provide medical insurance, proof of current physical, and sickle cell results
Benefits
UTPB Dance Team members receive a scholarship. The University pays for all uniforms, dance camp and travel expenses to games and to the NDA Collegiate National Championship in Daytona Beach. UTPB Dance also receive access to priority enrollment.
