What is an internship?

An internship is a form of education that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom to practical application and skill development in a professional setting. Internships may be full or part time/paid or unpaid/ may allow for academic or may be required for certain degree plans.

Who can apply for an internship?

Minimum requirements:

  • UTPB students currently enrolled
  • Maintain a G.P.A.: Undergraduate students: 2.0 - Graduate students: 3.0

Explore Micro-Internships opportunities with Park Dewey.

Micro-Internships are short-term paid, professional projects that are like those given to a new hire or intern. These projects enable students, Career Launchers, to demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and build their networks as they seek the right full-time role. Projects often require 20-40 hours of total work across 2-4 weeks and can be completed remotely. To get started with your Micro-Internship, you need to visit Parker Dewey and create an account as a Career Launcher!
