Effective Spring 2013, The University of Texas of the Permian Basin will offer a Bachelor of Applied Art and Sciences (BAAS) online completion degree at a total cost of $5,000 in tuition and fees for students who currently hold an Associates of Applied Sciences degree (AAS).

The online BAAS degree is open to any Texas resident with an AAS degree in appropriate fields. The University of Texas of the Permian Basin offers this $5,000 program to all Texas community colleges that offer the AAS degree.

The University of Texas Board of the Permian Basin has received approval to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree beginning fall 2013.

The Texas Board of Nursing voted their approval on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The BSN program is a four-year program that will prepare graduates for initial Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. The program incorporates UTPB’s core curriculum and pre-nursing courses during the freshman and sophomore years and two years of nursing classroom and clinical courses during the junior and senior years.
