Falcon Day scheduled for Saturday, February 28th is canceled due to weather conditions. The next scheduled Falcon Day is March 28th.An additional Falcon Day will be added to the schedule.

UTPB Joining the Lone Star Conference

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin will join the Lone Star Conference as a full member in the fall of 2016. The move was approved Thursday by the UT System Board of Regents.

"The success of UTPB student athletes both as athletes and students is the primary reason for joining the Lone Star Conference," said David Watts, UTPB president.

Head Football Coach Named

UTPB President Dr. David Watts announced at a Friday morning press conference that Justin Carrigan has been named the first head football coach in UTPB history.

Fall 2014 Graduate

When Myriam Luna walked across the stage at UTPB’s Commencement Ceremony on December 13, it was her first visit to Midland/Odessa. The mother of four has finished her sociology major entirely online from her home in Austin. Her perseverance and completion of her bachelor’s degree impressed her mentor, Dr. Joanna Hadjicostandi.
