In response to the inclement weather, UT Permian Basin will limit activity on campus on Monday, January 11, 2021 to include only essential services related to physical plant and safety. To be clear, the University staff and faculty will be working, and will continue to serve students as usual. However, offices will be closed and work will be handled remotely on Monday.
So what does this mean for you?
For in-person/on-campus/face-to-face students: You can assume that there will be no class on Monday unless you receive a specific message from your faculty via University email or Canvas account explaining expectations.
For exclusively online students: Your coursework will continue as usual.
For remote/hybrid/hyflex students: You can assume that there will be no class on Monday unless you receive a specific message from your faculty via University email or Canvas account explaining expectations.
All students: If you need anything from staff, or if you have a drop or hold on your account, our Accounting, Admissions, and Financial Aid staff are still available to help you. You can reach them at:
Accounting: accounting@utpb.edu or 432-248-0753
Admissions: admissions@utpb.edu or 432-552-2605

Gym: The gym and fitness centers will be closed Monday.
Library: The library will be closed, but staff are working remotely. If you need assistance, you can reach them at libraryservices@utpb.edu or 432-552-2370.
For STEM staff: Please look for a specific communication from Superintendent Davidson as the practice is to coordinate weather related decisions with ECISD.
For all other University staff: All employees are expected to work on Monday. You will continue to operate as normal, however all work will be remote, unless you hear differently from your supervisor. Please check your email and watch for messages that are more detailed.
