Calling all middle school and high school students! Join the College of Engineering in person for an amazing hands-on experience at UTPB's engineering summer camps! This year the College of Engineering will host two different campuses: UNITE and XTO Engineering camp. Be sure to register below for the campus you’re interested in.
XTO Summer Camp
This is a great camp for students interested in exploring STEM. Attendees will have a college experience learning on-campus! Students will get amazing hands-on learning with several projects and activates.
Dates:High School Students: June 20-24
Middle school students: June 27-July 1
Location: UTPB’s College of Engineering Building (11105 W. HWY 191 Midland, TX)
Time: 8am-3pm
Lunch and snacks will be provided. The cost is $295 per student. Scholarship opportunities are available. The registration deadline is June 16.
XTO Summer Camp

UNITE is a four-week, pre-collegiate summer experience for talented high school students. Hosted by The University of Texas Permian Basin’s College of Engineering. UNITE encourages students to pursue college majors and careers in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related fields through a program of focused, hands-on, rigorous academics, enrichment, and career exploration.
Benefits of attending:
- Gain confidence in your ability to participate in STEM activities
- Collaborate and solve problems as a team
- Learn firsthand from college students and professionals how engaging STEM studies and careers can be
- Prepare to pursue STEM majors in college and, ultimately, in future careers
- $100.00 stipend per week to each participant

Who is the camp open to?
- High school students (9th through 12th grade)
- Students must be from groups historically under served in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
