The University will offer a variety of camps for kids and teens this summer

The University of Texas Permian Basin will be offering a variety of summer camps to the community this summer. Whether your child or teen is interested in sports, music, art, engineering, or computers, UTPB has something for everyone!

The camps will be offered at an affordable price, which will allow the community to engage young people in activities that keep their mind and bodies active, while also providing an opportunity to experience the great things UT Permian Basin has to offer.

"Camps and other youth programs make a big difference in the lives of families," said Dr. Becky Spurlock, UTPB's Vice President of Student Affairs and Leadership. "As a working parent of two children, I know how hard it can be to find activities to support my kids and keep them busy during the summer months. Plus, time spent on a college campus is fun and sets the tone for being a life-long learner."

Participating in a variety of different summer camps also allows students to see what they might be interested in. The camps are a great way to keep kids and teens active: both physically and mentally. A full list of camps including days, times, cost, and how to register can be found online by visiting: utpb.edu/summercamps.
